Inter Milan won away to Fiorentina, an important role starring Fredy Guarin, footballer praised by Walter Mazzarri at the end of the match.
The Nerazzurri have managed the first away win from November 2013 onwards, after they managed to win 2-1 the match against Fiorentina at the Artemio Franchi.
Rodrigo Palacio and Mauro Icardi have scored the two goals for Inter, but an important contribution had also Fredy Guarin, player that this winter was the subject of a deal with Juventus, if the Serie A champions would be willing to gave up on Mirko Vucinic services.
To the delight of Inter’s Italian tactician, Guarin is still part of the grouping from San Siro, and his performances are getting better.
“Guarin forgot he was supposed to defend at times but he excelled in the first half,” Mazzarri told reporters after the game.
“There aren’t many players like him around. He just needs to perform consistently over 90 minutes. If he can do that, it will be great.”
One of the players transferred to Inter in the winter transfer window was Hernanes, who left the rival Lazio and hot spirits among fans in the Italian capital. Inter’s manager had only words of praise and about the new acquisition of the Nerazzurri.
“Hernanes is a player who knows how to deal with pressure and that’s what we needed. He’s got the composure and class to make those around him play well.” added the Italian tactician.
Following this victory, Inter still remains ranked 5th in the Serie A standings, 5 points behind Fiorentina and 8 behind Napoli, which occupies the last position of a Champions League place.
