Belgian footballer believes Chelsea can win the Premier League title if his team will have further developments as good as in the match against Manchester City, where they won 1-0.
The grouping from Stamford Bridge lead the Premier League standings at this point. Following the victory against the Citizens from the beginning of last week, Jose Mourinho claimed that his team is not favorite to win the title. But Belgian international feels otherwise.
“I don’t think we’ll win the Champions League this season because some teams are better than we are,” Hazard told L’Equipe. “As for the Premier League, we’ll see. If we play all our games like we did at City, we’ll be champions.”
A week ago Mourinho praised Hazard for his performances, claiming the Belgian player is a ‘world class’ footballer. This week Hazard returned praises to The Special One.
“His record speaks for itself. No team had managed to win at City. So it’s clear. Those who still had doubts over his potential can stop. He has already shown he’s the best manager in the world.” said Hazard about Jose Mourinho.
Tonight Chelsea will play away to West Brom, team ranked 18th. With a win in today’s game, the Blues could consolidate their leading position in case of failure of Arsenal, who tomorrow will receive the visit of Manchester United at the Emirates.
