The Slovak international said in a recent interview that Napoli is still in the cards for winning the Europa League, Coppa Italia, and secure qualification in Serie A in a Champions League position.
The grouping at the Stadio San Paolo was eliminated from the Champions League, so it will continue European adventure this season in the Europa League. In Coppa Italia are in semi-finals of the competition, where they lost the first leg with AS Roma 3-2, after trailing 2-0. In Serie A standings are ranked third, last place that secure a place in the Champions League next season.
Even though Napoli undergoing a pretty wiped period at the moment, Marek Hamsik feels that his team is still there in the fight for at least 2 trophies.
“We are on course to reach all our objectives,” Hamsik told Radio Kiss Kiss. “Champions League qualification, the Europa League and the Coppa Italia. We are all on a journey together and we will continue to grow.”
In the previous round in Serie A Rafa Benitez’s team generated a big surprise after being beaten away to Atalanta, final scor 3-0.
