Barcelona will certainly lose Victor Valdes in the summer, taking into account that the Catalans shot-stopper has announced that will not chance his decision to go to another championship.
The grouping from the Camp Nou already approached Ter Stegen from Borussia Monchengladbach, for whose services are willing to pay about 12 million euros, but not yet solved the problem of backup goalkeeper.
At the moment, this is the role of José Manuel Pinto, who will end his contract with Barcelona at the end of this season. Aged 38, the goalkeeper who played more in the Copa del Rey games over the last few seasons, is no longer going to continue his career to another club than the Blaugrana grouping.
In an interview with the Spanish press, Pinto admitted he really wants to stay another season at Camp Nou, but if Barcelona does not offer him a new deal, he will retire.
“In the sports level I have two dreams: to win trophies this year and extend my contract with Barcelona,” said Jose Manuel Pinto to reporters.
From 2008 to the present Pinto defended the Catalans’ goal in 76 matches.
