AC Milan and the Italian national football team striker wants to play against Spain in the Confederations Cup semifinals. “I wait of one year to get revenge,” said Balotelli in a recent post on his Facebook account.
Italy still not forgotten the painful 4-0 defeat in the final of the 2012 European Championship. Now, at the Confederations Cup, a competition which is in full swing, the two teams will meet again in the semifinals. Italy finished 2nd in Group A, while Spain won the Group B so the two teams will face each other in the next round of the competition.
Mario Balotelli wrote on his personal Facebook account that is eager to take revenge in front of the Iberians. “We expect the Spanish for a year. The revenge is a dish that is best served cold”, says the Italian striker in his message.
Balotelli scored two goals for the Squadra Azzurra so far at the Confederations Cup in the three games played. The two teams will play on Thursday from 21:00 CET.
