Former AC Milan defender argued that Mario Balotelli could better mold in a team like Juventus, where there is more stability and responsibility of Italian striker would not be so big.
After an experience with Inter, Balotelli went to England to Manchester City, the club with that did not get used at all. He was then transferred back in Serie A, to AC Milan.
His first impact with the club he supported from childhood and always loved was pretty good, Balotelli having a goal per match at one point. But things have degenerated at the San Siro grouping, Massimiliano Allegri was replaced after just managed to keep the team just halfway in the standings and the Italian striker’s form is away from the one we expected.
Paolo Maldini said recently that Milan footballer would fit much better at a team like Juventus, where things are much clearer and there is stability at the club.
“Balotelli is still not a champion,” Maldini told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “It’s the same with [Alexandre Pato]. The day I see him put the team on his shoulders and drag them for 90 minutes then he will be. He’s only done it for short periods.
“I don’t know, but I get that impression that if he had gone to Juventus, a team with clear ideas and a tough coach and solid group of Italians, he would make the leap.”
