Real Madrid was on the brink of a not very comfortable start in the new Primera Division season. Finally, the new player of the Blancos grouping, Isco, assured Ancelotti’s first victory on the bench of Galacticos.
Carlo Ancelotti was very close to a failure in his first match in charge of the group from the Santiago Bernabeu. Against a Betis Sevilla team in great shape, the players led by the Italian tactician struggled to passes into their account all the three points.
The stadium in Madrid was silenced after 14 minutes when Jorge Molina managed to open the score for the guests. After 26 minutes Karim Benzema restored parity and from then Ancelotti’s leds have preset the goal defended by Andersen, to get first win of the 2013-2014season.
Finally, the winning goal came from Isco, who scored in the 86th minute with a header after a perfect cross came from Marcelo’s foot.
“I’m happy with the win, we started with a victory at home and now we must continue along the same lines,” said Isco after the game.
“It’s my first goal I’ve put in with my head in my first game but I’m happy about taking all three points as well. It’s the first league game, we’ll have to improve a lot, but we’ve just started and we’ve added three points,” added the 21 year old footballer.
Quite surprising was Diego Lopez starting place in Real’s goal, everyone expecting to see Casillas back to work. But Isco didn’t want to comment on this topic. That is a decision of the coach. The important thing is the victory.”
Following this victory, the Galacticos keep up with the great rival Barcelona, team that humiliated Levante in a 7-0 win at the Camp Nou. For the next fisture the Blancos will travel to Granada, a match that apparently seems quite easy for Ancelotti’s team.
