The Italian international had a very good season with Torino, the team for that scored 22 goals in Serie A this season. These performances earned him a call with Italy at the World Cup in Brazil will start on June 12.

Dortmund will be next season without the current top scorer Robert Lewandowski who agreed with Bayern Munich, the team with which will begin trainings in June. In these conditions Jurgen Klopp sought a replacement for the Polish striker, a possible solution being Torino striker Ciro Immobile.

“I am ambitious and, after such a good season, it’s normal to be aiming very high,” Immobile told reporters.

“I admit that I want to test myself in the Champions League now. Borussia Dortmund are a very important team and the idea of replacing Robert Lewandowski excites me very much.

“However, my agent is keeping his eye on things so we will see.

“I repeat, it is important for me to find a team in the Champions League, but I also need somewhere where I can grow personally.” concluded the 24-year-old Torino footballer.
