Croatia’s Luka Modric paves the way for the eventual coming of Welsh Gareth Bale to Real Madrid, saying that he especially appreciates his former colleague from Tottenham, who he considers a worthy player of the football witch is practiced at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The young winger has impressed in Tottenham’s last seasons. He was reshaped as an offensive player, from the defender position, and proved that can be more efficient in an advanced place. He has impressed with a hat-trick scored on Giuseppe Meazza in a game lost by Londoners, 4-3 in front of Inter Milan, two seasons ago in the Champions League group stage.
“I agree that Bale should play at Real Madrid and I hope he will come. Would be great, and I think he can play for Real. He’s a pretty good player,” said Luka Modric, according to “BBC Radio Wales”.
The two were team-mates at Tottenham in the period 2008-2012, as long as the Croat has played at White Hart Lane. Gareth Bale plays for Spurs since 2007.
In recent years various versions were circulated on Bale’s next destination. It was discussed, among other things, about the interest of teams like Real Madrid, Chelsea or Manchester City.
