David Villa was injured in December and missed all matches Barcelona played in spring. He hasn’t been recovered in time for EURO 2012, as he hoped.
David Villa is Spain all time goalscorer, with 51 successes in 82 games. Moreover, the striker scored 10 times when Spain won the Euro in 2008 and the World Cup in 2010.
Barcelona has already spent 14 million euros this summer for Jordi Alba’s transfer, and Rosell complained recently that the budget does not look too good. The priority on the acquisition list is a central defender, and Javi Martinez is the main favorite, but he has share of 40 million euros. Neymar is onother one, but his price is around 40 million euros.
If the Catalans will take 30 million euros for Villa, Rosell will probably be delighted by the business would do it this summer.
