The final phase of ticket sales for the FIFA Club World Cup Japan 2011 presented by TOYOTA will kick off on 5 November via FIFA.com.

The eighth edition of the FIFA Club World Cup, scheduled to be played from 8 to 18 December 2011, will take place in the Japanese cities of Yokohama and Toyota City.

The competition will feature CF Monterrey of Mexico (CONCACAF Champions League winners), Santos FC of Brazil (CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores winners), Auckland City FC of New Zealand (OFC Champions League winners), FC Barcelona of Spain (UEFA Champions League winners) as well as the winners of this year’s AFC Champions League, the CAF Champions League winners and a club from Japan’s J.League, representing the host nation.

In Asia, last night’s semi-final second-leg matches resulted in Al Sadd (Qatar) and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors (Korea Republic) reaching the final, which will be played on 6 November. Wydad Athletic Club (Morocco) and Esperance Sportive de Tunis (Tunisia), meanwhile, have reached the final of the CAF Champions League, to be played over two legs, on 6 and 12 November.

The J.League, with four matches left, is now led by Kashiwa Reysol on 62 points. Gamba Osaka on 60 points and Nagoya Grampus on 59 points are also both firmly in the race. Mathematically still in with a chance are Yokohama F. Marinos on 52 points and Vegalta Sendai on 51 points.
