Galatasaray prepare to drop another bomb on the transfer market after last winter brought on Ali Sami Yen on Didier Drogba and Wesley Sneijder. Now the Ivorian footballer seems almost of a separation from Turkey, after receiving a tempting offer from MLS, and the Cim Bom Bom officials seeking a replacement for the former Chelsea striker.
The Turks intend to launch a bid for Atletico Madrid star David Villa, who arrived at the Vicente Calderon just last summer from FC Barcelona for a fee of 10 million euros.
Now the Spaniard’s share is rising again after a great season with Atletico. Villa scored 9 goals so far and provided six assists in all competitions, figures which may cause Galatasaray bosses to pay an amount more than the 10 million euros, that bought the team from Madrid the footballer from Barcelona.
David Villa is the best scorer in the history of Spain. At Atletico Madrid he has a pretty serious competition, represented by Diego Costa, another striker in great shape. Costa is currently 2nd in the Liga top-scorers table (after Ronaldo) with 19 goals scored in the first half of the season. Villa, however, wants to attend to the World Cup in Brazil, but for all this needs as many minutes played. A transfer to Galatasaray would give him this opportunity and would be more likely to be selected by Vicente del Bosque.
