German daily Bild announces that the Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder Mario Gotze will make the move to Bayern Munich this summer, for the sum of approximately 37 million euros.
The Bavarians had already paid the footballer’s buy-out clause, about who it is said that it has already signed a pre-contract with the new Bundesliga champion. Gotze has an agreement with Dortmund until 2016.
Gotze has been strongly desired to Bayern Munich by the new coach Pep Guardiola, who thinks the German international fits perfectly on the new game system of the Bavarians.
At Bayern, Gotze will have a salary of about 7 million euros annually, compared with the five that earns now at Dortmund.
This season, Gotze has played 28 matches in the Bundesliga and scored 10 times, having two successes in the UEFA Champions League this season. Until now has 22 selections at the German national football team, for which he scored five goals.
With this transfer, Gotze would become the most expensive German football player in history, after Mario Gomez (30 million euros), Manuel Neuer (22million euros) and Mesut Ozil (18 million euros).
Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona meet tonight at 20:45 in the first leg of the Champions League semifinals. The return leg will be played next week at Camp Nou.
Borussia Dortmund will play tomorrow against Real Madrid at the same hour, in the second semifinal of the League.
