The former midfielder of AC Milan will play at Sao Paulo until will start the season in MLS, where he will play for the team that signed for next season, Orlando City.
The Brazilian midfielder was bought by Milan from Sao Paolo in 2003. Then passed on to Real Madrid (2009-2013) and last season played for the Rossoneri again.
Although he has only 32 years old and could perform at the highest level in European football, Kaka chose to sign with the grouping from MLS, Orlando City. But was loaned before the season begins to the team that launched him in big football, Sao Paulo.
In his presentation to his former team in the stands there were 20,000 fans, the Brazilian midfielder being excited by the reception that was made at his return to the Sao Paolo.
“It’s an emotional moment, 11 years later, to be back at the club where I’ve grown up, where I started in football, to see all the supporters here, my friends and family,” said Kaka.
“It’s a very special day for me. Sao Paulo rocketed me into world football, and to be back is a memorable and very special day.
“I’m very happy, as my family and children are here too. I can’t wait to play. I’m looking forward to playing alongside these two idols here [goalkeeper Rogerio Ceni and striker Luis Fabiano, both attending the presentation].
“Thank you all, I’m sure this will be very special. I don’t know when I’ll be back at playing, but I’ll try to be back as soon I can.”
