This weekend Francesco Totti turned the age of 38, and wanted to thank the fans of AS Roma for the attitude they had towards him and to the team.
Francesco Totti is one of the most representative players that Italy has ever had in history, and certainly the most emblematic captain that led AS Roma. This weekend the footballer who played all his life for the Italian capital team has reached the age of 38, and at the end the 2-0 victory at home, against Hellas Verona, Totti wanted to thank the fans for their attitude.
“On the day of my birthday, there are many people I wish to thank,” wrote Totti on his official website.
“Fortunately I am able to thank many of them directly, but there is a huge thank you, as big as the heart of Rome, so very important, that I want to say now… it is for our marvellous fans.
“The push, the warmth, the unconditional love that you give me both in the stadium and in any other place… it is difficult to find the words to describe what all this means to me.
“Yesterday just as today, you have always made me feel special. You are unique and simply fantastic!”
