Undoubtedly, AC Milan have worst start since the 1941 season. Ranked 15th in Serie A with seven points collected in eight rounds so far (two wins, one draw and five defeats!), Milan seems to be in a very difficult situation.
It all stems from the lack of funding of the team, because the owner Silvio Berlusconi has serious problems with justice, he being sentenced on Friday to one year imprisonment.
In such circumstances, nor the future of Massimiliano Allegri on the Milanese bench is not so sure. The failure with Lazio was extremely difficult to digest by the club. President Adriano Galliani transmitted Allegri at the beginning of the week, that has two games to save the situation, with Malaga, in the Champions League, and with Genoa, in Serie A.
As failed the first test with the Spanish from Malaga, 1-0, Allegri has only one game, from today against Genoa to wash unfortunately. Galliani seems not to have patience and acted upon. Is in advanced talks with Rafa Benitez (52 years), coach that has trained and their great rival, Inter.
On Inter’s bench Benitez didn’t stay very much. Installed as principal, after the departure of Jose Mourinho to Real Madrid in the summer of 2010, Benitez managed to win Italian Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup. Then he had a conflict with Massimo Moratti, who has criticized many things related to investments in the group, after which he was dismissed. Since then, Benitez is a free agent.
The last coach who served as head coach at both Inter and Milan was Leonardo.
