Manchester United striker will be totally rebuilt for the return game with Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarterfinals, David Moyes saying that will appeal to all methods for he to be fit after last week Wayne Rooney suffered a toe injury.
It will be a crucial match for United at the Allianz Arena, where the Red Devils have the possibillity to save a disappointing season. But for this they need the best players in the batch.
A certain absence is Robin van Persie, the Dutch striker was not recovered from an injury suffered a month ago. Last week problems arose at a toe for Wayne Rooney, who was left out of the squad for the Premier League match against Newcastle from last weekend.
But the 28 year old English footballer will be back for today’s game with Bayern, assured the coach of the grouping from Old Trafford.
“He’ll definitely play. We’ll do everything we possibly can [to get him on the pitch]. He’s happy to take an injection to play which I think shows you his feeling about the game and the club,” Moyes told reporters.
“We wouldn’t do anything medically wrong. We take advice from the doctors who advise us. Everybody knows the character Wayne is and he is determined to play. If he is determined we’d be mad not to let him do so.”
In last week’s game Man United obtained a 1-1 at home in the match against Bayern, defending throughout the 90 minutes. But in today’s match Moyes said they will try to keep the ball more.
“I’d like to have more possession and have a bigger effect on the game, and my plans are to do that. But they were also my plans in the first game as well.” added the Scot manager.
