The Brazilian footballer said he feels increasingly better at Barcelona, and is already close to excellence that recommended him to one of the biggest clubs in Europe. Meanwhile, Neymar is very confident in Barcelona’s chances of passing by Atletico.
The player transferred last summer from Santos for the amount of € 57 million was questioned at a time by the Catalan fans, who were expecting more from Neymar. The Brazilian suffered an injury two months ago, which put him a bit of form.
So far Neymar scored nine times in the Primera Division, two goals in Cup and four in the Champions League.
In a recent interview, the 22-year-old player said he felt increasingly better with his colleagues from Barcelona, and is approaching by his best form.
“I am getting back to what I was before,” Neymar told Brazilian TV station Globo.
“Everyone has to face periods of adaptation at some stage and so do I. I am pleased to again be concentrating on my football and I hope to continue helping the team.”
Regarding the match with Atletico in the middle of next week, Neymar hopes Barcelona to qualify, even if the group in Madrid will be hard to beat.
“I hope that my goal (against Atletico) will help the team and be important in terms of helping us to get through. A match with Atletico is always difficult but Barca know how to attack.
“It was a result that has created complications but we know we have potential to win the away leg. We need to show the same level of intensity if we want to win the next game.”
