Jose Mourinho returned to the Chelsea bench this summer, six years after departure from London to Milan, from where he went in 2010 to Real Madrid. Unexpected to some, but certainly desired by fans of Roman Abramovich club, his return was analyzed in every way.
The one who that cleared things a few days ago was even Chelsea’s manager, who never missed an opportunity to taunt the championships in Spain, Italy, Germany and France.
“The competition is different now from what it was in my first term at Chelsea. Then battled for the title just three teams, now are six. Nobody knows what can happen. Maybe the difference will be made by the presence of the teams in European cups. Maybe difference will be two points. It will be nice,” said Mourinho.
“We have competition that all European countries want it, but we have it. We have a fantastic championship and we must enjoy it. To win the title this season would be more impressive than it was in 2005. The first time was hard to win the title, as a team without tradition to get trophies, but winning the championship this season would be a bigger achievement,” said the Portuguese tactician.
Chelsea won Sunday at home against Southampton (final score 3-1), one of the most in form team in the Premier League, and on December 11 will play the last match of Group E of the Champions League against Steaua Bucharest.
