The 53 year old Italian tactician Delio Rossi was fired Monday night from the position of head coach of Sampdoria club, after the defeat to Fiorentina, final score 1-2, as announced the Italian club.
Pending the appointment of a new coach, the team will be led by Francesco Pedone, coach of youth club from Genoa.
The Italian press wrote that Sampdoria negotiates with Serbian coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, to take over the post of head coach.
Delio Rossi, who is in charge since December 2012, is the third coach fired this season in Serie A, after Fabio Liverani (Genoa) and Rolando Maran (Catania).
Sampdoria are in the moment in the relegation zone. This season, the team from Genoa won only nine points in the first 12 rounds. Too little for a team with pretensions. With Delio Rossi on the bench Sampdoria obtained two wins, three draws and seven defeats, a track not at all promising for the club bosses. They were going to make a change as soon as possible, not to have even greater problems at the end of the season.
