The Catalans won for the third time in a row the Fair Play Award

Champion in Primera Division, FC Barcelona has managed to win the award for “Fair Play” in Spain, after they went on Valladoid, Real Sociedad and Real Madrid, Mourinho’s former team finishing only in fourth place.

Barcelona received the fewest penalty points, only 74. The Catalans attitude is reflected in the few fouls committed by Vilanova’s players: Pique 14 times in the season, or Messi just 12 times.

Barcelona has won the title of “Fair Play” and in the seasons 2010-2011 respectively 2011-2012, after they also conquered it and 2005-2006 and 2008-2009.

No other team has managed to reach Barcelona’s performance in this respect, since the inauguration of the trophy in 1998.

Barcelona B is also an example of “Fair Play”. In the second league, the second team of the Catalan grouping also leading in this ranking, with 98 points, clearly surpassing Girona and Lugo.
