Borussia Dortmund prepares for next season and the Germans’ aim is to reach as soon as possible in a new UEFA Champions League final, after they lost to Bayern this season.
After they lost Gotze and Lewandowski is assaulted by offers, Borussia heads try to keep their stars after a remarkable European season, far beyond expectations.
A constant presence in the first 11 in the previous season, midfielder Jakub Blaszczykowski chose to stay at Borussia. The Polish has extended the agreement with Dortmund until June 2018.
“Kuba is a very important piece to our team and helped us a lot in the European road. I’m very happy that he chose to stay at Borussia,” said sporting director Michael Zorc.
“I am very proud that I can still play at a top football club and Borussia still trusts me for a long term project,” said Blaszczykowski after signing a new deal with the German team.
Now at 27 years old, Jakub Blaszczykowski came to Borussia in 2007 from Wisla Krakow. The Polish football player contributed to the rise of the Germans, managing to win with Borussia two Bundesliga titles and the DFB Pokal ones.
